- In 2008, Spain increased its ability to attract greenfield (new investments) and reinvestment projects, with the total reaching 502 projects, an increase of 17.6% over the previous year.3
- 155 of those 502 projects, were made in high added value sectors, representing 31% of the total. These high added value sectors include ICT, the environment and water treatment, biotechnology and health sciences, aeronautics and aerospace and renewable energies.
- Spain offers investment opportunities in sectors and activities with significant added value. These are highly attractive to FDI due to their great growth potential.
