Excellent transport links and infrastructure
A road network of highways and freewaysconnects the three Aragonese capitals with Spain’s key economic centers: Madrid, Barcelona, Bilbao, Valencia and France.
With the opening of the Mudéjar Highway, Teruel is now less than an hour from the port of Valencia. Huesca will also become more accessible with the opening of the Lérida-Pamplona highway.
The high-speed train (AVE)links Zaragoza with Madrid and Barcelona in just 75 minutes. With a shuttle to Huesca already in service, Aragon’s AVE network will be completed in 2009 with the opening of the Zaragoza-Teruel shuttle.
Zaragoza’s international airport, whose new terminal will open in March 2008, links Aragon with major European capitals.
