Alstom-Ecotècnia has underscored its commitment to Barcelona and its Spanish subsidiary Ecotecnia Energías Renovables by making an agreement with the Generalitat (Catalan government) to install a wind energy engineering centre in the Catalan capital (the French multinational’s first of this kind).

The initiative will create 180 jobs over the next three years, most of which will be for engineers. Alstom has also committed to investing 2% of Ecotécnia’s annual turnover in R&D and Innovation projects in the field of the renewable energies
