Spain will be second fastest growing country in Europe in 2008

On the 21st of March February the EC published its growth forecasts for 2008 in the European Union and the Euro zone, both down 4 tenths of a percentage point, although they expect the economy to rFally at the end of the year because according to Brussels, the United States is not going to enter a recession.

The forecast for Spain down three tenths of a percentage point is therefore for growth of 2.7%. It is one of the least affected countries in the euro zone, only behind Holland, which thanks to revenue from its natural gas reserves has a growth forecast of 2.9%.

Spain however still has unfinished business in the field of inflation, since forecasts are for a rise of almost one percentage point above EU rates, figures only exceeded in forecasts for Poland.
