European company Varó designs, manufactures and distributes hand tools, and portable electrical and garden machinery. Yesterday it announced it would open a logistics center in Daroca (Zaragoza province) for the distribution of its products in Spain and Portugal.
The company has purchased 13,316 square meters of land in the Sepes Industrial Park for the construction of a distribution warehouse. The premises will also house a technical servicing and administration area.
Varo’s headquarters are in Belgium and it has distribution centers in Asia and Europe. In Spain the trademark is distributed through its subsidiary Varo Ibérica Bricolage, which has its headquarters in Barcelona.
According to the Mayor of Daroca, Álvaro Blasco, the strategic location of the town, which will improve with the opening of the Mudéjar freeway, has been the determining factor for Varo´s premises. The plant will at first create eight jobs, expected to increase to twenty five in the future.
