A new venture capital company was constituted on the 10th of February promoted by the Galician Foundation for the Knowledge Economy (FSC) and led by Galician businessman Manuel Jove, through his Avante Group investment firm. The founding partners belonging to the group are Caixa Galicia, Caixanova, the Pastor Bank and the Regional government. They are open to the inclusion of new business partners. Partners can hold no more than a 20% share in the fund.

The goal of the new working group is to select and back innovative industrial projects that are “made in Galicia”, and to foster their internationalization. It also aims to capture ideas and industries abroad that can be developed in Galicia.

The prime objective is not to generate profits, but rather to promote and develop strategic projects for Galicia, by identifying initiatives, entrepreneurs and successful ideas.
