Spain ranked fourth in Europe in 2007 as regards attracting foreign investment, according to a survey published by Ernst & Young

Spain became the fourth most attractive European country for foreign investment in 2007, behind the United Kingdom, France and Germany, and accounted for 6.9% of all projects implemented across Europe, according to a report issued by Ernst & Young.

Hexcel opens first carbon fiber plant in Spain

Hexcel Corporation today opened its first European carbon fiber plant at a special ceremony attended by over 200 people. The new plant, located at Illescas near Toledo, is the first ever plant to manufacture carbon fiber in Spain.

Total foreign investment in shareholdings in Spain has grown exponentially in gross terms over 2007, recording a rise of 163%, amounting to 36.031 billion euros, and in net terms it has grown seven and a half times over, reaching 26.877 billion euros.
