INTERES Invest in Spain and PromoMadrid brief foreign companies on R&D&I grants
The thrust of this business meeting, organized in collaboration with Asesoría Industrial Zabala, is to provide information on the grants available from Central Government and Madrid Regional Assembly.
Madrid, June 12, 2008. INTERES Invest in Spain, INTERES Invest in Spain, the State Department for the Promotion and Attraction of Foreign Investment, part of the Ministry of Industry, Tourism and Trade, held in Madrid today the “Practical Briefing Session on R&D&I Projects”, attended by a host of companies established in Spain, and specifically in the Madrid Region, interested in benefiting from the innovation grants offered by government bodies.
Led by the international consultancy firm Asesoría Industrial Zabala, the briefing session sought to inform investors about the range of grants available to promote investment in facilities, equipment, human resources and technology. Asesoría Industrial Zabala is an international consultancy firm that has specialized since 1986 in R&D&I, positioning itself as market leader in Innovation projects in Spain.
Marian Scheifler, Chief Operations Manager at INTERES Invest in Spain, opened the sessions. José Mª Zabala, CEO of Asesoría Industrial Zabala, Ramiro Martínez, Deputy Director of Industrial Zabala, Federico Manrique, Director of Innovation at the Department of Economic and Consumer Affairs, Julia Prieto, Director of the Department of SME programs at IMADE, Carlos Ramos, Director of Institutional Relations at AvalMadrid. The sessions were closed by Genaro González Palacios, CEO of PromoMadrid.
All the speakers emphasized the fact that major foreign companies that invest in the Spanish market have very specific needs, and that thanks to the sessions held today these companies are better informed about the Innovation grants available from national and regional bodies.
It is worth noting that the Spanish government funds dedicated to promoting R&D are very generous, outpacing the European average, following Finland, France and Sweden.
