García, president of Microsoft Spain since 2006, will be responsible for the new organization from the first of July and will group the lines of business of the company according to the consumer market and including the current divisions; Windows Consumer, Windows Mobile, Windows Life and MSN.

The new Vice-President will be responsible for sales, marketing and development of the business and operations of the new division in the fourteen countries comprising the Western Europe region (Spain, Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, Holland, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Luxemburg, Norway, Portugal, Sweden and Switzerland).

Rosa María García is a graduate in mathematics and has more than twenty years experience in the Information Technology industry. She is an advisor to the Circle of Business People, member of the Forum for Top Management and has won several awards including the Top Female Director Award and the Director of the Year Award.
