1. What is the extent of science and technology parks in Spain?

Spain has more than 60 science and technology parks spread over the 17 autonomous regions. Most of them are members of the Spanish Association of Science and Technology Parks [Asociación de Parques Científicos y Tecnológicos de - APTE) whose website we attach: www.apte.org.

2. Are there logistical platforms in Spain?

Yes. At the end of 2004 Spain had 62 operating logistical parks, with a total area of 26.5 million square metres. 52% of these platforms are managed by private capital, 29% by public enterprises and the remaining 14% by mixed public-private partnerships.

Currently there are 40 projects for the construction and expansion of logistical platforms, which has translated into approximately 25 new facilities in 2006, resulting in a total area of 37 million square metres given over to logistical parks.
